<p>Overview</p> <p>Marine Systems, Inc. is hiring for a Field Mechanic I in our Thorofare, NJ location. 08086</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain safe working conditions in your work area at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Use Stop Work Responsibility to stop an unsafe act</p> </li><li> <p>Perform rigging duties on jobs, unsupervised</p> </li><li> <p>Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs, unsupervised</p> </li><li> <p>Perform advanced electronic troubleshooting / repairs and interpret electrical diagrams</p> </li><li> <p>Submit parts list for jobs</p> </li><li> <p>Research and reference manufactures maintenance manuals for specifications and recommendations</p> </li><li> <p>Write detailed reports using company forms</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with supervisor and customer on jobs</p> </li><li> <p>Follow service job protocol</p> </li><li> <p>Perform lead mechanic duties on jobs with multiple underclassmen, when required</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety. </li><li>Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas. </li><li>Report safety observations, including near misses. </li><li>Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a positive attitude and work towards achieving a Safety Goal of Zero Incidents </li><li>Maintain dependability and punctuality </li><li>Work on Weekends and Holidays </li><li>Work under the direction of Senior Mechanics </li><li>Work out of town for extended periods </li><li>Maintain Good Study and Learning Habits </li><li>Maintain Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills </li></ul> <p>Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.</p>
