<p>Welder - Job Description</p> <p>Ludwig Drilling LLC</p> <p>Position:</p> <ul> <li>Welder </li></ul> <p>Department:</p> <ul> <li>Operations </li></ul> <p>Status:</p> <ul> <li>Hourly (Non-Exempt)/At-Will </li></ul> <p>Rate of Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>$25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on applicable skillset and experience. </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <ul> <li>Castle Rock, Colorado </li></ul> <p>Supervisor:</p> <ul> <li>Operations Manager </li><li>Lead Mechanic </li></ul> <p>Purpose:</p> <ul> <li>The Welder will utilize various welding techniques to weld and fabricate metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, and/or oral instructions. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Executes work in accordance with company safety policies and safe work procedures. </li><li>Oxy ace cutting is required. </li><li>Utilizes stick and MIG welding processes to weld milled steel. </li><li>Utilize blueprints to fabricate needed materials/part/components. </li><li>Preparation of material for welding by cutting or grinding, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or grinder. </li><li>Set material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding. </li><li>Buffs and or grinds milled steel. </li><li>Properly utilizes all hand tools and welding equipment to execute assignments. </li><li>Executes vertical and horizontal welding tasks. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed. </li><li>All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Construction/Drilling 5 years </li><li>Welding/Fabrication 3 years (Required) </li><li>Auger and Kelly Bar Welding Experience (Preferred) </li><li>Reading and Building Off of Shop Drawings 1 year (Required) </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Capable of setup, layout and tack up of various metals. </li><li>Ability to weld structures/components to spec. </li><li>Ability to meet safety standards in appropriate rigging procedures. </li><li>Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for project build process. </li><li>Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers. </li><li>Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment. </li><li>Ability to learn and gain knowledge. </li><li>Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions. </li><li>Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. </li><li>Ability to work for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions. </li><li>Ability to work as part of a crew and to follow work orders or receive instructions. </li><li>Ability to focus on daily and weekly goals for the project. </li><li>Ability to work in compliance with applicable OSHA and Company safety requirements. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.
