<p>Commodities Finance Manager</p> <p>Millennium Management, a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commodities Manager to join our Fund Accounting team. This role is integral to ensuring the accurate accounting, reporting, and operational oversight of commodities-related investments within the firm's diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in commodities markets, fund accounting principles, and operational processes within a hedge fund environment.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Fund Accounting & Reporting:</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the accounting and reconciliation of commodities-related transactions, including futures, options, swaps, and physical commodities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, and quarterly NAV calculations for commodities entities.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the broader accounting team to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Trade Support & Reconciliation:</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with trading desks, operations, and counterparties to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Risk & Performance Analysis:</p> </li><li> <p>Provide insights into market trends and their impact on portfolio valuation and risk metrics.</p> </li><li> <p>Process Optimization:</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of commodities accounting workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline reporting and reconciliation processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Regulatory Compliance:</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory frameworks, including GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare audit documentation and liaise with external auditors as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with portfolio managers, risk teams, middle office, compensation, legal and operations to provide accounting insights and support decision-making.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as a subject matter expert on commodities accounting within the firm.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Skills Required</p> <ul> <li> <p>Qualifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
