In this role, you will operate equipment to finish natural stone products used in architectural and building applications. This position plays a key role in ensuring our stone meets the high-quality standards our customers expect. You will also safely handle materials using forklifts, cranes, and suction lifting devices while working from shop drawings and specifications.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate stone finishing equipment to produce high-quality natural stone products </li><li>Achieve required finishes using machinery and hand tools </li><li>Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move, load, and position stone materials </li><li>Use vacuum/suction lifting devices to handle large or irregular stone pieces </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications </li><li>Perform precise measurements to ensure accurate production </li><li>Perform basic math calculations for dimensions, cuts, and material usage </li><li>Inspect finished stone for quality, consistency, and adherence to Buechel Stone standards </li><li>Adjust machine settings based on material type and finish requirements </li><li>Receive direction and work orders from supervisor </li><li>Verify that tools and equipment are in proper working condition </li><li>Perform daily routine maintenance inspections of equipment </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area </li><li>Participate in mandatory stretching exercise program </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in manufacturing, stone fabrication, or machine operation preferred </li><li>Ability to operate or willingness to learn forklifts and overhead cranes </li><li>Familiarity with reading drawings or production specifications </li><li>Strong basic math and measurement skills </li><li>Ability to read and write English </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment </li><li>Ability to work with natural stone products and heavy materials </li><li>Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and pride in craftsmanship </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Highly detail oriented </li><li>Dependable </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team </li><li>Ability to adapt to varying work environments </li></ul> <p>Work Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Generally works indoor in production facility </li></ul> <p>Buechel Stone Corp will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records for employment in compliance with the FCO</p>
