<p>Posting Number S330P Job Title Senior Procurement Specialist (Purchase Associate, SL-4) Application Deadline 05/29/2025 Department Purchasing FT - PT Full Time Part-time % Minimum Salary $65,000 (+$3,400 location pay) Maximum Salary $70,000 (+$3,400 location pay) Description</p> <p>Purchase College seeks qualified applicants to fill a full-time position in the Procurement and Accounts Payable office. The Senior Procurement Specialist interacts with all levels of College Administration, faculty, staff, vendors, SUNY System Administration, NYS Comptroller, Office of General Services, and the Office of the Attorney General.</p> <p>The position assists with the development of bid specifications, manages formal bids (IFBs including for Capital Construction, RFQuals, and RFPs) and informal quote processes (RFQs), while following all campus, SUNY, and New York State requirements.</p> <p>The Senior Procurement Specialist will function as the Procurement Card Program Administrator for the campus with support from the Procurement Assistant.</p> <p>This position also supports developing, reviewing, and authorizing campus contracts and agreements. The Senior Procurement Specialist provides management of contracts throughout the lifecycle and ensures the Procurement Record complies with campus, SUNY, and New York State requirements.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong personal work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to complete projects on schedule.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>The candidate must have a bachelor's degree, ideally with a major in business, management, communications, or a related field. </li><li>A minimum of 3 years business experience, preferably in procurement, contracting, or a related field. </li><li>The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills to independently manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines effectively. </li><li>The candidate will have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>The candidate will be competent in using Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with, and proficiency in, navigating complex purchasing and contracting policies and procedures. </li><li>Experience with NYS Procurement and capital construction contracts is highly preferred. </li><li>Experience managing a procurement card program is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Application:</p> <p>To apply for the position, please visit our Purchase College Job Vacancy website at Purchase College Job Vacancy website and complete an online application.
