Current Connecticut certification in Spanish required. Class schedules for 25-26 are levels 1 & 3.</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' knowledge, skills and abilities in comprehending, speaking, reading and writing a language other than English, and to develop an understanding and appreciation of the native culture of the countries where the language is the primary means of communication.</p> <p>Qualifications Profile</p> <ul> <li>Certification/License: </li><li>CT State Certification as a foreign language teacher in the particular language taught. </li><li>Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to the teaching assignment. </li><li>Masters Degree in related subject area preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>Successful prior foreign language teaching experience is a plus.</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p>
