<p>Division: Nursing</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY: This position organizes, promotes and schedules vision and hearing screening services for McHenry County school age children in order to detect and report suspected vision and hearing impairments. Travel independently to administer routine vision and hearing tests in accordance with State of Illinois Department of Public Health standards.</p> <p>STARTING SALARY: $19.74/hour.</p> <p>HOURS: 37.5 hours per week.</p> <p>JOB FUNCTION: Coordinate, promote and schedule vision and hearing screening services in the county. Perform high volume vision and hearing screenings for students in McHenry County preschools as well as school age students in accordance with State of Illinois Department of Public Health standards in order to identify children and/or adults with probable impairments. Maintain current Illinois Department of Public Health licensure as a certified Vision and Hearing Technician. Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports for various county, regional and State of Illinois departments and agencies.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Safe driving skills and current valid driver's license.
