<p>Student Worker - Kalb Collection Coordinator</p> <p>Purpose/Objective of the Role:</p> <p>Fine Arts is seeking a student, art major or minor, that is motivated to promote and cultivate student art from OWU studios.</p> <p>This position requires working and communicating with a range of people in the OWU community:</p> <ul> <li>Students </li><li>Staff and Faculty </li><li>Maintaining the social media </li></ul> <p>The work hours are flexible but the position requires availability during weekends.</p> <p>Core responsibilities of the Gallery position:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with installments of the exhibits, (there should be 2-3 exhibits per semester) </li><li>Promote exhibits and Werner Gallery space to students and OWU community </li><li>Maintain the inventory of gallery supplies/tool </li></ul> <p>Core responsibilities of Collections:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain the inventory of works in the Kalb collection </li><li>Slides collection and the department's Instagram account </li></ul> <p>Skills and qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Good time management </li><li>Good communication skills </li><li>Knowledge to operate with basic power tools </li><li>Capacity to lift and move items - (approximately 30 -50 pounds weight) </li><li>Familiarity with Google Cloud platform </li><li>No previous experience necessary, needs to be art major or minor </li></ul> <p>Tasks & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Cleaning, moving materials and maintenance </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Prefer art major/minor </li></ul> <p>Potential Future Career Benefit:</p> <p>Understanding the requirements for maintaining an art gallery and art collection</p> <p>NOTE: Employment sponsorship is not available for this position.
