<p>Job Title: Distillation Operator</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Distillation Operator to join our team in maintaining and running distillation and reaction process equipment. This role involves inventory management, process plumbing, sampling, and labeling distillation cuts, along with conducting Gas Chromatography analysis. Adherence to GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Standards is essential.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate and oversee distillation and reaction process equipment. </li><li>Manage inventory through paperwork transfers. </li><li>Charge stills and handle process plumbing lineups using hoses, hard lines, and fittings. </li><li>Sample and label distillation cuts. </li><li>Conduct Gas Chromatography analysis on cuts and in-process samples. </li><li>Make run condition changes and decisions based on analysis results. </li><li>Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Standards. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of chemistry and distillation processes. </li><li>Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Proficiency in Gas Chromatography testing. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>GED or High School Diploma required. </li><li>Experience in chemical processing and automated control systems is a plus. </li><li>Must complete a math assessment prior to consideration. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is with a fragrance and flavors manufacturer. The work environment involves 50% outdoor work and 50% time spent in an air-conditioned office. The role is an overnight shift from 5 pm to 5 am, with a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, Thursday through Wednesday. Initial evaluation and training occur Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
