<p>POSITION OVERVIEW</p> <p>NBME is currently seeking a Manager, Data Analysis to join our management team to participate in planning, directing, and coordinating all activities and projects our Data Analysis team is involved in. These activities include scoring, analyses, and score reporting for operational and developing assessment programs, survey and qualitative work, development of SPSS, R and R Markdown code and other technical procedures, UAT for software and report development, and a wide range of quality control work.</p> <p>This role has been designated as remote which means it generally does not require onsite work more than an average of 2-3 times per month and may require additional prescheduled onsite work. Employees will have the ability to select their primary work location (remote/on-site/hybrid) based on their preference. By recruiting and empowering talented individuals from various disciplines and backgrounds, which includes professionals with diverse life experiences, abilities, and perspectives, NBME can take a well-informed, robust approach to advancing medical education and assessment for years to come.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>This position is expected to manage their direct reports and engage in our co-management model, which helps us to support a wide range of DA assignments and changing strategic priorities, as well as to maintain shared performance expectations, workloads, and a collaborative team culture across reporting lines. This work includes:</p> <ul> <li>Managing the day-to day activities of the team to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely completion of all work </li><li>Ensure effective prioritization and staffing of DA team activities through collaboration within the DA management team. Actively contribute to the strategic planning of the PADA management team. </li><li>Acting as an individual contributor, representing PADA in a variety of NBME projects and leading projects as needed </li><li>Tracking project progress, developing or maintaining project plans, providing status reports, and budgeting and capacity planning </li><li>Taking a leadership role in streamlining and improving processes, making processes generalizable, seeking out innovative methods, improving documentation and quality control procedures, and creating training materials. Ensure that procedures and records are documented in a clear and consistent manner for all work. </li><li>Provide support for continuous development of DA team technical skills as well as further developing your own skills </li><li>Designing and performing data analysis, score reporting, quality control, and other functions as needed. </li><li>Recruiting, training, and developing new and existing data analysts. Support the development of psychometricians in conjunction with psychometric manager. </li><li>Providing a supportive, positive atmosphere for all team members and leading our team through periods of change </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>High level of quantitative and logical reasoning ability, attentive to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously </li><li>Familiarity with classical test theory and IRT </li><li>Thorough knowledge of SPSS and/or R programming, data management, basic SQL, and techniques to access and use complex data sources </li><li>Strong communication skills including influencing others, holding others accountable, and successfully handling difficult conversations </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work closely and successfully with individuals from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds </li><li>Excellent organizational and management skills </li><li>Ability to spot inefficiencies and improve processes </li><li>Risk assessment and proactive risk management skills </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three years of independently conducting data analyses, reporting and quality assurance </li><li>Demonstrated the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) or a combination of equivalent education and experience</p> <p>About NBME:</p> <p>NBME is a not-for-profit organization that specializes in the creation of assessments and learning tools for physicians and health professionals.
