<p>Platform Engineer</p> <p>The Opportunity:</p> <p>Design, implement, integrate, and maintain systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of junior employees.</p> <p>You Have:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments </li><li>Experience with Helm charts, Kustomize, or Operators for deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes </li><li>Experience with GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, or GitLab CI/CD for infrastructure and application delivery </li><li>Experience with Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) or deploying or managing stateful applications on Kubernetes </li><li>Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code deployments </li><li>Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus or Grafana, for platform health and SLA dashboards </li><li>Knowledge of Linux systems administration and container troubleshooting, including logs, networking, and resource constraints </li><li>Ability to identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt across platform environments such as refactoring, dependency upgrades, and deprecated API migration, and work on-site at the designated location per program requirements </li><li>Secret clearance </li><li>HS diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Nice If You Have:</p> <ul> <li>Experience deploying and upgrading ECK Operators and managing Elasticsearch or Kibana custom resources in Kubernetes </li><li>Experience with Platform One Big Bang or Iron Bank hardened container workflows in a DoD environment </li><li>Experience with GitLab self-hosted administration, including runners, pipelines, merge request automation, and repository management </li><li>Experience automating dashboard generation or reporting such as Grafana-as-code, Kibana saved objects API, or scripted dashboard provisioning </li><li>Experience with multi-classification or air-gapped deployment patterns such as IL5/IL6, artifact mirroring, and offline registries </li><li>Experience with Istio, Linkerd, or similar service mesh technologies for mTLS and traffic management </li><li>Experience with DAST, SAST, or container scanning integrated into GitOps pipelines such as RMF or ATO compliance automation </li><li>Experience with Vault, SOPS, or sealed-secrets for secrets management in GitOps workflows </li><li>Experience running cost and resource optimization on Kubernetes such as right-sizing, HPA/VPA tuning, and node pool strategy for stateful workloads like Elasticsearch </li><li>TS/SCI clearance </li></ul> <p>Clearance:</p> <p>Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
