<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Montgomery County Schools is seeking dependable and hardworking custodians to join our facilities team. These evening shift positions are vital to ensuring our schools remain clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring proper hygiene standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Empty trash and recycling receptacles and prepare materials for disposal.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting needed repairs.</p> </li><li> <p>Secure the building at the end of the shift, including locking doors and setting alarms.</p> </li><li> <p>Support school events by setting up and breaking down furniture or equipment as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow all district safety procedures and guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Other assigned duties by the Principal or facilities director.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred. </li><li>Prior custodial or facilities experience is helpful but not required. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. </li><li>Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. </li><li>Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a safe and clean school environment. </li></ul> <p>Schedule & Compensation</p> <ul> <li>Shift Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. </li><li>Salary: Starting at approximately $33,700 annually.
