<p>Job Title Employment Benefits Coordinator Job Description</p> <p>The Employment Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing expertise and support in a variety of human resources (HR) areas, including employee benefits, compliance and reporting, policy and procedure interpretation, and employee onboarding.</p> <p>Essential Duties Summary</p> <ol> <li> <p>Manage all HR functions related to employee benefits, including enrollments, status changes, and terminations.</p> </li><li> <p>Liaise with current and prospective benefits vendors on behalf of the college.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide expertise to employees on benefits options, especially during onboarding and open enrollment periods.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to all benefits, leave administration, and retirement inquiries in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile monthly benefit billings.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete mandatory federal, state, and local reporting requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure accurate interpretation of HR-related policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the annual employee review process.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in hiring committees as an HR representative.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain employee benefit data in the College's HRIS system and update benefit enrollment forms as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain employment benefit videos in the Human Resources app.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete prior state service and creditable state service transfers for new employees.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with coordination of annual onsite flu vaccine clinic.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with other HR-related duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in professional and staff development opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve on committees as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned and other related duties incident to the work described herein.</p> </li></ol> <p>Salary Range Based on experience. Starting salary range $44,747 to $67,120. Required Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Required: Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Administration, or related field from a regionally accredited institution. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work or meet in the evenings and/or on weekends, with advanced notice. </li><li>Ability to provide leadership in anticipating and responding to change. </li><li>Ability to work effectively and collegially with others. </li><li>Ability to use productivity software, including a general knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets, the ability to send and receive email, and to complete and submit electronic forms. </li><li>Employees are expected to perform essential computer skills (log on/off a computer, manage and organize files, print/scan forms using a copier, maintain and recall secure passwords and change password(s) routinely per college procedures). </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Provide exceptional customer services with people internal and external to the institution. </li><li>Providing vision and leadership. </li><li>Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college. </li><li>Flexible and adapts to change. </li><li>Willingness to collaborate with multiple departments to achieve excellence for customers and students. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related field. </li><li>Preferred: Experience in a Community College. </li><li>Preferred: 3-5 years benefit experience. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information, analyze data, make assessments, and exercise good judgment to make decisions; possess ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus; and effective use of all forms of communication (oral, visual, auditory), including use of computers.
