<p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Henry Ford Health. As a Medical Assistant in our Mobile Occupational Health department, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to employees at various worksites. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating patients in a variety of situations.</p> <p>This Role is not Clinical Based! You will be travelling to different corporate Clients to perform Health Screen, Hearing Testing and more</p> <ul> <li>Dependable car: You'll occasionally need to drive your own vehicle when the company minivan isn't available. </li><li>Willingness to Travel: Within Metro Detroit and occasionally across Michigan - some over night stays also required </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting physicians with pre-employment exams. </li><li>Administering vaccinations and immunizations </li><li>Perform drug screenings and other clinical procedures as needed </li><li>Drawing blood and collecting other specimens for laboratory analysis </li><li>Conduct hearing tests, respiratory fit testing, tb testing, etc. Training will be provided. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent </li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation </li><li>Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR </li><li>Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR </li><li>Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR </li><li>Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR </li><li>Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR </li><li>Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years </li><li>Current BLS-C </li><li>Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred </li><li>Strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs measurement </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Community Care Services </li><li>Department: Mobile Occupational Health </li><li>Shift: Day Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
