<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>College of Nursing</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Provides various student support activities. Develops, advises and implements specific services and/or programs designed to promote the effective functioning of students and/or student groups and contribute to the formal and informal educational environment within the university.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide executive administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, with both internal and external partners. </li><li>Provide technical and clerical services to support student services, which may include reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and processing student data. </li><li>Assist with determining students' academic credit, admissibility, eligibility for degrees, scholarships and/or specialized designations. </li><li>Understand how the team integrates with others to accomplish team objectives. </li><li>Research and analyze atypical or complex data and prepare reports (e.g., budget tracking and expenses) noting key issues and patterns in data. </li><li>Complete assignments of varying degrees of complexity. </li><li>Solve problems and identify new, less obvious solutions. </li><li>Impact quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of the team through planning, organization, and coordination. </li><li>Use discretion and maintain confidentiality of information. </li><li>Recommend modifications to work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency. </li><li>Explain detailed information and answer questions regularly and interact with both internal and external parties. </li><li>Review student records when necessary and forward information to appropriate staff. </li><li>Provide everyday support for all Student Services staff and student requests for documentation. </li><li>Plan key events for students and the College (Lighting of the Path, Award & Pinning Ceremonies) and assist with coordination of College of Nursing Orientations, Open Houses, Career </li><li>Expos, etc. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment visas.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>MONDAY - FRIDAY / 8:00 AM - 5:00PM</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Experience working in a university or college setting preferred.</p> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Pay commensurate with education and experience.</p> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range: $18.87 - $26.87 per hour</p> <p>Grade: GGS-008</p> <p>University Title: STUDENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST SR.</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>Application materials include a cover letter and resume.
