<p>The Training Coordinator ensures that all personnel receive appropriate training and maintains and updates training records for each employee. The Training Coordinator conducts the Operator Certification program training and is a certified operator.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensures that facility personnel receive appropriate training. Areas of instruction include preparing Operators for Certification, forklift training, SCBA training, respirator training, safety training, outside contractor training and emergency action training. </li><li>Maintains and updates training records for each employee. </li><li>Conducts safety and operations training during plant meetings and maintains plant and safety meeting training records. </li><li>Will be the facilities safety officer, who is the leader and active participant in the safety committee. </li><li>Administers training exams and participates in oral boards for new employees and recertifications. </li><li>May assist with routine processing and QA review / release on an as-needed basis. </li><li>Assists the management team and EHS manager in the implementation, compliance, and administration of the company's EHS programs. </li><li>Tracks employee safety program and certification compliance. </li><li>Orders and helps maintain safety supplies required by the facilities. </li><li>Performs boots on the ground safety oversight by identifying and tracking correction of workplace hazards and unsafe conditions. </li><li>Assists in the review and development of Job Hazard Analysis. </li><li>Performs inspections of the site's emergency response equipment. </li></ul> <p>Education Required</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED. </li></ul> <p>Experience & Skill Required</p> <ul> <li>At least 2 years of production, logistics, or safety technician experience in a regulated industry setting, plus additional training in specific areas of safety; i.e., hazardous material shipping, forklift training, and SCBA training. </li><li>Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. </li><li>Must be proficient using word processing and spreadsheet applications. </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. </li><li>Ability to compute rate and rate percentages, to draw and interpret graphs preferred. </li><li>Must be willing to work established shifts. </li><li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time. </li></ul> <p>Special Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be medically approved for respirator use (EO). </li><li>Must be able to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity (120°F and 60% RH for 20 minutes) (EO). </li></ul> <p>Pay & Benefits</p> <p>Salary Range: $50,500 - $79,000 per year; depending on experience (this is an hourly-paid position).</p> <p>Sotera Health offers a competitive benefits package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts </li><li>401(k) program with Company match that immediately vests </li><li>Paid holidays, vacation and sick time </li><li>Free financial planning assistance </li><li>Paid parental leave </li><li>Education assistance </li><li>Voluntary benefits including Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity and Pet Insurance </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li></ul> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
