Our team provides compassionate, high-quality counseling, therapy, medication, and guidance to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.</p> <ul> <li>Age Group/Range: Adults </li><li>Practice Setting/Type: Outpatient OTP </li><li>Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday 5 AM - 1:30 PM </li></ul> <p>Role as Nurse Practitioner:</p> <p>The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Director; may also be directed by Nurse Supervisor for the clinic under the state licensure guidelines for Nurse Practitioners; evaluates and monitors treatment of patients as part of a healthcare team at the clinic. May prescribe medication as allowed by state regulation.</p> <p>Role Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides initial and annual history and physical evaluation, assesses eligibility for treatment, evaluates patients' history of dependence on opioids; </li><li>Orders appropriate laboratory studies, reviews laboratory results and provides necessary education, referral and / or follow up services to patients; </li><li>Monitors the treatment plans of high risk patients. </li><li>Prescribes medication for the treatment of substance abuse according to patient need as allowed by state regulation; </li><li>Consults and collaborates with Medical Director to plan and implement care according to Nurse Practitioner Guidelines; </li><li>Reports and documents significant patient issues and adverse events; </li><li>Communicates pertinent information to appropriate members of the health care team; </li><li>Collaborates with Nurse Supervisor to optimize quality and efficiency; </li><li>Ensures that the program and employees' transactions and activities are in full compliance with all laws and clinic legal compliance program policies and standards of conduct; and, </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred. </li><li>Previous experience in behavioral health or substance use (SUD) treatment is preferred. </li><li>Experience with MAT (medication-assisted treatment), along prescribing buprenorphine products </li><li>Familiarity with working in an OTP (opioid treatment program) setting is a big plus, although not required </li><li>No history of alcohol or drug misuse for three years before employment. </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Designations/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Board certified Nurse Practitioner </li><li>Licensed to practice in the state of West Virginia </li><li>DEA license </li></ul> <p>Our Comprehensive Treatment Network</p> <p>~3,000+ Employees · 170+ Locations · 74,000+ Patients · 33 States · 1 Network</p> <p>Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers (CTC) division operates 170+ CARF-accredited outpatient opioid treatment programs (OTPs) nationwide, serving patients undergoing treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD).
