<p>Education: Master's degree with valid Indiana Administrator's license or eligible to receive an Indiana Administrator's license or permit with certification as Director of Special Education.</p> <p>Experience: Five (5) years of teaching experience in special education with documented experience as a teacher leader at the building level.</p> <ul> <li>Provide direction to the Superintendent in the achievement of the short and long-term educational goals of the school corporation. </li><li>Assist the Director of Special Education with supervision and oversight of the DBSEC. </li><li>Assume responsibility for the Director's duties in his/her absence. </li><li>Assist district supervisors, directors, and principals in improving the teaching/learning process. </li><li>Assist in case conferences and dispute resolution as requested. </li><li>Process the eligibility and placement of special education students (PreK-12+). </li><li>Advise the Director concerning the needs of special education students and staff. </li><li>Keep appropriate records. </li><li>Assist in development, implementation and assessment of special education curriculum. </li><li>Assist in evaluating personnel and recommending employment and assignment of personnel. </li><li>Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Special Education and/or Superintendent. </li><li>Serve on corporation wide committees as may be assigned by the Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>Health Insurance with Free Clinic for those enrolled in the plan</p> <p>Life/Dental/Vision/LTD</p> <p>10 sick days and 3 personal days</p> <p>Half price tuition at Ball State University for up to six credit hours per year.</p> <p>Work two weeks before and after the teacher schedule</p>
