<p>> Position: IT System Administrator Location: Summerville, SC</p> <p>Job Id: 176 # of Openings: 0</p> <p>IT System Administrator</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Supports IFA IT environment in the areas of system/network administration, security, desktop support and communications. Provides support to the IT Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>System/Network administration </li><li>Maintain system/network security and patch management systems </li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot proprietary barcode printers </li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot radio frequency barcode scanners </li><li>Support VoIP telephony system </li><li>Desktop troubleshooting and support (2nd - 3rd Tier Helpdesk support) </li><li>Assist in budget creation and project management for IT activities </li><li>Assist in maintaining IP security camera system </li><li>Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to </li><li>All employees are responsible for having an awareness and understanding of IFA's commitment to ISO 14001 </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Policy and procedure document creation </li><li>IT equipment inventory management </li><li>Provide support for Internet monitoring </li><li>Provide assistance for special projects such as projectors, public address systems, and radio communications </li><li>Android/iPhone mobile phone support </li><li>Provide assistance for backup and recovery of servers </li><li>Work with outside groups (i.e., IFA Germany) to troubleshoot problems </li><li>Coordinate IT related activities with 3rd party contractors </li><li>Provide recommendations for current and future IT needs </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science / information technology or equivalent combination of education and work experience. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5-7 years' experience supporting a Windows networking environment </li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Experience administering Windows Server products </li><li>Experience configuring and deploying Cisco infrastructure and telephony equipment </li><li>Experience with VMware and installing and maintaining virtualized systems </li><li>Experience with SAN technologies </li><li>Experience with firewall support </li><li>Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN's, </li><li>Experience with barcode and label printing technologies </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to walk/move about a 190,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility: 90% of the time </li><li>Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 75% of the time </li><li>Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 40% of the time </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a frequent basis: 30% of the time </li><li>Must be able to lift over 30lbs on an infrequent basis: 10% of the time </li><li>Must be able to push/pull materials using motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment on an infrequent basis: 20% of the time </li><li>Must be able to sit at a work station: 80% of the time </li><li>Must be able to work and operate a computer terminal: 80% of the time </li><li>Vision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc. </li><li>Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferences </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required </li></ul>
