The applications specialist will serve as the primary troubleshooter for end users and will work in both group and one-on-one settings supporting district users. In addition they will lead the district in the physical security department with regards to technology.</p> <p>TASK AREAS</p> <ul> <li>Primary point person for security type equipment (cameras, door swipe card readers, etc…) including installation, configuration, and training. </li><li>Represent District 228 as the primary point person when dealing with outside vendors and 3rd parties for any troubleshooting and problem resolution outside of server/network issues. </li><li>Provide training for the applications supported. </li><li>Provide software, hardware, and network troubleshooting support to help the district technology team deliver the best possible service. </li><li>Serve as project manager for various projects. </li><li>Enforce system standards across all ecosystems. </li><li>When problems arise, lead the process of cause analysis and solution recommendations to find a resolution to the problem. Afterwards, coordinate the implementation of a process to prevent a recurrence of the same issue. </li><li>Install and maintain new and existing systems and technologies to support the educational goals of the district. </li><li>Maintain Microsoft Active Directory of user accounts, file shares, and network printers. </li><li>Create and maintain documentation including accurate diagrams, operational procedures and response protocols. </li><li>Maintain an awareness of new, relevant network related technologies, identifying implications to the district technology system. </li><li>Automate many of the typical repetitive tasks and reporting that allows efficient management of the environment. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>RELEVANT TECHNOLOGIES:</p> <ul> <li>G Suite for Education </li><li>Active Directory </li><li>Proxy Card Access </li><li>Avigilon Unity (Camera System) </li><li>Avigilon / Axis Cameras </li><li>Basic Networking (Interface setup and troubleshooting) </li><li>Other SAAS used by the district </li></ul> <p>EVALUATION</p> <p>Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Educational Support Personnel.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT</p> <ul> <li>Twelve month work year </li><li>Fringe benefits: Health, dental and life insurance plus sick leave, personal business leave </li><li>Salary: Established by the Board of Education </li></ul>
