This includes front of the house and back of the house areas along with receiving and stocking duties. Stocks, rotates, and replenishes merchandise.</p> <p>The Dining Services Associate will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. The individual will focus on our Core Values: Safety, Sanitation, and Excellence. The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Scrapes, cleans, sanitizes, and replenishes all dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots, and pans etc. Properly stores all clean items. </li><li>Operates dish machine or pot machine and is responsible to record proper temperatures and correct levels of chemical sanitizers according to regulations. Loads and unloads dish machine. </li><li>Disposes of food waste and trash both front of house and back of house as needed. Sweeps and mops all floors and walk in refrigerators. Separates recycling from trash. </li><li>Assists in receiving, storing, transporting and stocking of food and nonfood items. </li></ul> <p>NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in transporting supplies from storage areas to work areas as required. Fills juices, milk, and soda machines as needed. </li><li>Assists on serving lines or back of the house prep work if needed. Acts as a runner to replenish food supplies on service lines. Communicates with cooks concerning amounts of food on service lines. </li><li>Works special events/weekends as required </li><li>Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Work Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Basic reading and writing skills; basic communication skills. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Practices excellent personal hygiene habits and follows and adheres to uniform standards. </li><li>Ability to: follow directions and complete assigned tasks, work with minimal supervision, and to interact with people on a constant basis. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Formal Education:</p> <p>Preferred only - High school diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Specific Job Knowledge:</p> <p>Preferred - Basic knowledge of food service safety and sanitation</p> <p>Preferred - Serv Safe Training and Allergy Awareness Training</p> <p>Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:</p> <p>Tools, Machinery, and Equipment Used:</p> <ul> <li>Knives, Slicers, and all kitchen equipment. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Chemicals used for cleaning </li><li>Weather exposure for special events. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods. </li><li>Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 pounds independently. </li><li>Ability to withstand extreme temperatures. </li></ul> <p>Special Message to Applicants:</p> <p>Schedule during normal operating hours</p> <p>Tuesday - Saturday 12:00pm - 9:00pm</p> <p>Off Sunday and Monday</p> <p>Posting Date: 04/01/2026 Closing Date (11:59pm ET): Salary Posting Information:</p> <p>$17.50 per hour.</p> <p>Shift differential for qualifying shifts.</p> <p>Salary Grade: 8 Job Classification: non-exempt</p> <p>References Needed</p> <p>References Needed</p> <p>Minimum Number of References Needed 3 Maximum Number of References Needed 3</p>
