Whether you aspire to be a leader or a technical expert, this position will set you up for success in the future.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <p>This role will be responsible for working within both the new product development and present product teams.</p> <p>Quality Systems:</p> <ul> <li>Problem identification, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action using Statistical Tools as appropriate. </li><li>Development, maintenance, and review of key performance indicators. </li><li>Research, recommend, and implement new equipment, designs, gauging and or processes that improve product quality, consistency and performance. </li></ul> <p>Quality Planning:</p> <ul> <li>Lead PFMEA activities, facilitate creation of, organization of, and complete follow-ups as needed on new or existing production process PFMEAs </li><li>Review and update the quality system requirements for new or revised products, including review and measurement of key control characteristics (KCC) identification and documentation. </li><li>Work closely with industrial and manufacturing engineering to develop, qualify and audit new and key processes with data collection </li><li>Support trial builds of product throughout the system, gathering feedback for evaluation. </li><li>Assist Business Unit Leader in defining annual Quality goals and objectives. </li><li>Build a culture that identifies and solves problems related to quality, involving employees at all levels to own it and improve it. </li><li>Promote a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals and celebrate collective wins. </li><li>Report to all levels of the organization up through the executive level. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or technical discipline. </li><li>8+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering function. </li><li>Experience leading a team and coaching and developing direct reports. </li><li>Strong understanding of and experience applying advanced statistical methodologies in a manufacturing environment - e.g. ANOVA, regression analysis, six sigma concepts, etc. </li><li>Proficient in GD&T, measurement practices and APQP tools such as PPAP, dFMEA, pFMEA, MSA, SPC, capability studies and control plans. </li><li>Solid analytical problem-solver with knowledge of tools (5why, 8D, A3, etc.). </li><li>Experienced in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint) and Data Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.). </li><li>Able to work collaboratively to resolve issues and continually improve results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost. </li><li>Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change with proven interpersonal, organization and time management skills. </li><li>Communicates, plans and updates effectively with all levels of management and peers. </li><li>Growth mindset and willingness to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>American Society for Quality (ASQ) - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ASQ- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or other certification strongly desired. </li><li>Knowledge of SolidWorks and gauge / fixture design. </li><li>Lean manufacturing experience. </li><li>Understanding of ISO / IATF / AS QMS standards and experience internal auditing to the standards. </li><li>Proven track record of project management and effectively managing priorities. </li></ul> <p>We value our employees by providing:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation based on skills </li><li>Industry leading health, dental, and vision plans </li><li>Generous 401 (K) savings and profit sharing </li><li>On-site UW Health clinic, fitness center, and walking paths </li><li>Education assistance and internal training programs </li><li>Electric vehicle charging </li><li>Maternity & paternity leave </li><li>Interested in learning more on our robust benefits package we offer?
