<p>Company Overview CUMULUS| Providence, RI currently features 5 stations in the Providence metro area. WPRO-AM, WPRO-FM, Lite 105, Hot 106 and WPRV-AM. Our stations reach hundreds of thousands of listeners on a weekly basis. Position Overview CUMULUS MEDIA | Providence has an immediate opening for a Reporter/Producer. The ideal candidate understands story selection, the power of audio and sound, and the ability to grab the listener with compelling, fast-paced storytelling. Social media skills (Facebook), (X), Instagram, etc. are a must. You must also be willing to hit the street and report when needed. We prefer the ideal candidate have at least 2 years of experience in broadcast news, and possesses an extremely excellent work ethic, displays a positive attitude and is a self-starter. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications Key Responsibilities: Write and voice news stories including outside of the newsroom Write news stories for the station websites Post new stories on social media Handles emergency news/weather in show; on call for weather disasters/breaking news Individual will perform various news duties as needed, with the potential of working overnight or early morning hours, and some anchoring as necessary Qualifications: 2 years of experience Previous experience in radio news or website journalism Familiarity with digital audio editing software required Experience with long-form, breaking, non-scripted, weather coverage is vital Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Great team player What We Offer Competitive Pay Focused, responsible and collaborative work environment with the ability, to ask "what if" and try innovative solutions 401K with company match For immediate consideration, please visit https://jobs.cumulusmedia.com/jobs For more information about Cumulus Media, visit our website at: https://www.cumulusmedia.com/ EEO Statement Professionals</p>
