<p>Roxbury Community College (RCC) is a public institution of higher education offering associate degrees, certificate programs and lifelong learning opportunities to the Greater Boston community. The Department of Education recognized RCC as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and as one of the top 100 community colleges in the country for student outcomes through the Postsecondary Success Recognition Program, making it the only community college in Massachusetts with these designations.</p> <p>RCC offers 24 associate degree programs, 6 credit-based certificate programs, 13 non-credit professional certification programs, 30+ lifelong learning and fitness classes, and customized incumbent worker training programs. Our annual report is available at Clery Report.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Title: Enrollment Specialist</p> <p>Unit: MCCC Professional Staff</p> <p>Department: Enrollment</p> <p>Reports To: Assistant Director of Admissions</p> <p>Date: April 2025</p> <p>Under the supervision of Enrollment Management, the purpose of the classification, as an extension of the admissions team, is to provide guidance and direct assistance to prospective students regarding college programs, admissions, registration, financial data, and academic planning. Employees in this classification perform administrative work. Classification is responsible for providing enrollment information/assistance and processing student enrollment documentation for prospective students throughout the entire enrollment process. Performs related work as directed.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides guidance to prospective students through the entire enrollment process in the college. Meets with prospective students individually, collectively, in person, or online regarding admissions, registration, financial aid, testing, minimal advising, and students accounts. (i.e. - meets individually with students to provide some in depth information; provides information concerning college programs, careers, salaries, job outlooks, courses, transfer credit, CLEP, life experience credit, transfer compact, joint admission, articulation agreements, payment plans, and financial aid; guides, directs, and assists students in planning to meet their educational objective; assists students in completing require forms/documentation). </li><li>Processes student enrollment documents for prospective students as needed in the following areas, admissions, registrations, financial aid, testing, advising and students accounts. Assist student who can be quick admits into "open door" programs. </li><li>Provides assistance to prospective international and veteran students (i.e. - provides information concerning international student requirements; assists foreign students with completion of admission applications/documentation; provides G.I. bill information to veterans; directs veteran students on tuition waiver. </li><li>Oversee campaigns for newly admitted students from application completion to matriculation. </li><li>Arrange meetings and events (in person or remote) for all newly admitted students </li><li>Answer questions, handle issues, and provide detailed information to students on school requirements, processes, and policies </li><li>Collect data to qualify candidates for programs, services, or courses </li><li>Ensure applications are completed correctly, with the required supporting materials </li><li>Enter, update, and review records </li><li>Provide guidance and recommendations to current and prospective students </li><li>Process enrollments and withdrawals </li><li>Assist with billing and payment processing </li><li>Prepares, transmits, maintains, and responds to requests for student transcripts and other official documents </li><li>Conduct information sessions </li><li>Participate in school activities </li><li>Checks source documents for accuracy </li><li>Verifies and corrects data where necessary. Obtains additional information for incomplete documents </li><li>Combines and rearranges data from source documents where required </li><li>Enters data from source documents into prescribed databases </li><li>Transcribes information into the required electronic format </li><li>May scan documents into document management systems or databases </li><li>Audits completed work for accuracy </li><li>Stores source documents in designated locations for future reference </li><li>Maintains accurate records of activities and tasks </li><li>Responds to requests for information and access relevant files in providing information. Ensures reference documents are appropriately returned to storage for future reference </li><li>Prints information when required </li><li>Complies with all data integrity and security policies.
