As an equal opportunity employer, we offer a team-oriented, collaborative work environment for close to 400 employees at eight different locations in Rutland and southern Addison counties.</p> <p>ABOUT THE ROLE:</p> <p>The Patient Access Center Specialist will provide clerical and administrative support to ensure patients are scheduled, registered and ready to receive the care they need in a friendly, timely manner.</p> <p>FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:</p> <ul> <li>Answers phone calls with excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Schedules patients within the algorithm designed, and utilizes the nurse triage when necessary. </li><li>Properly scans all appropriate paperwork into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). </li><li>Works closely with each practice to ensure all data items are accessible and in the correct standard EMR location </li><li>Provides directory information to internal and external inquirers. </li><li>Acts in a professional manner at all times. </li><li>Knowledgeable of all departments and services available in the facility. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma required or equivalent; college degree preferred or equivalent education and experience </li><li>Microsoft Office & Electronic Health Record Skills </li><li>Minimum of one years experience in a healthcare setting </li><li>Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change quickly. </li><li>Reports to work on time and as scheduled </li><li>Completes work in accordance with productivity metrics. </li><li>Must be able to provide information regarding office policy and procedure. </li><li>Must be able to manage emergency situations in a calm manner. </li><li>Must have strong decision-making skills. </li><li>Must be able to interpret instructions and prepare records. </li><li>Maintains patient confidentiality. </li></ul> <p>HOW WE SUPPORT YOU:</p> <ul> <li>Work Life Balance </li><li>Generous Time Off </li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance. </li><li>Health savings account option. </li><li>Robust 403 (b) retirement savings plan, with employer match and 100% vesting schedule. </li><li>Comprehensive Wellness Program. </li></ul> <p>#Communityhealthjobs</p>
