Responsibilities Essential Functions • Participates with Corporate Education in planning of learning projects, programs, and initiatives. • Responsible for management of team members including recruitment, retention, supervision, evaluation, and productivity. • Demonstrates effective group presentation skills when delivering training programs. • Plans, organizes, and directs department activities. • Exhibits excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments, adapting to changing priorities and situations, and follow-through on the completion of assignments by deadlines. • Mentors or precepts new managers. • Develops and manages department budget to respond in a cost-effective manner to changing requirements. • Promotes a satisfied, healthy work environment for the workforce by establishing a climate of growth, challenge, and development of all team members. • In collaboration with Corporate Education, develops and implements programs based on corporate quality and process improvement initiatives. • Evaluates department performance and effects change as needed to implement process improvement. • In partnership with Corporate Education, develops and implements simulation learning activities. • Demonstrates excellent relationship building skills with all levels of management. • Embraces, communicates, and promotes effective change. • Demonstrates professional accountability by maintaining proficiency in assigned role and involvement in professional organizations, and facilitates and supports team member involvement in professional and organizational activities. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. • Maintains knowledge of risk management concepts. • Builds positive relationships/partnerships with internal customers. • Remains current in new developments in the learning field. • Performs other related duties as needed. Qualifications Education/Training • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field within 5 years. Licensure/Certification • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). • National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) within 2 years.</p> <p>Education/Training • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field within 5 years.
