Be part of an extraordinary life!</p> <p>Asbury Village is recruiting for a part-time Activities Assistant. This role will be under 20 hours a week. In this role you will be responsible planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Assists with planning, coordinating activities: workout classes, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outside trips, special events and one-to-one visits, as indicated:</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with distributing the monthly calendar and newsletter.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with purchasing supplies for activities as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs and directs the movement of residents to and from recreational areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate documentation of resident's activity attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans and coordinates activities in the absence of the Director of Resident Services.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Asbury Village fully embraces a culture of hospitality. One year experience in a social or recreational program is preferred in a licensed health care setting. Background or interest in music, art, drama, and dance therapy preferred.</p> <p>PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting for approximately 60% of work day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to push residents weighting up to 250 lbs in a wheelchair. Must be able to read and speak English, hear, and be able to sit and walk intermittently throughout the day.
