<p>National Storage is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist. This position will report to the People Operations Director and will be based in Greenwood Village.</p> <p>The role is Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days a week (M-W) in our office.</p> <p>Compensation: $30 per hour plus exceptional benefits.</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <ul> <li>Processes bi-weekly payroll and semi-monthly payrolls for approximately 1500 employees with a high degree of attention to detail. </li><li>Process ad-hoc same day payments for terminations. </li><li>Research issues and follow up on employee questions in a timely manner. </li><li>Responsible for tracking all payroll changes unique to NSA Storage including Employee referrals; bonus payments; temporary allowances and Living Quarter associated payments. </li><li>Responsible for timely tax payments and tax reporting through W-2s. </li><li>Monitor all new hire set up to ensure accuracy of State taxes. </li><li>Process wage garnishments. </li><li>Audit Support for Payroll and Benefits. </li><li>Open enrollment coordination and processes, including employee communication. </li><li>Undertake the monthly consolidated benefits billing and reconciliation process. </li><li>Vendor and Carrier Management </li><li>Conduct internal benefits audits to ensure compliance and accuracy (Worker's Compensation, 401k, etc.). </li><li>Ensure compliance with state-mandated healthcare regulations. </li><li>Ensure that all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA). </li></ul> <p>Skills & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field </li><li>3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience </li><li>CPP Certification preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of payroll procedures </li><li>Experience with Dayforce Preferred </li><li>Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers </li><li>Customer service mindset </li><li>Ability to maintain sensitive employee information in a confidential manner </li><li>Excellent computer skills; i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word </li><li>Current working knowledge of state and federal tax regulations </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Healthcare:Full medical, vision, and dental coverage through United Healthcare with minimal or fully covered premiums for employee-only plans.
