We invite you to be part of our community where you can grow your career and serve with your heart.</p> <p>In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Medical Assistant.</p> <p>Work Location: Bradenton/Arcadia, FL</p> <p>As part of this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook </li><li>Must be able to float to alternative locations as instructed by your supervisor with short notice, and ensure adequate site coverage </li><li>Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting </li><li>Collaborates with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and peers </li><li>Maintains positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates </li><li>Ensures Provider's orders are directed to the various appropriate departments </li><li>Knowledgeable / Assist providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc. </li><li>Completes medication and DME authorizations for patients promptly </li><li>Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients' age under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Leader </li></ul> <p>What you need to bring to this role:</p> <ul> <li>Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 1 - 2 years' experience preferred </li><li>Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required </li><li>Submit proof of externship hours from an accredited program required </li><li>Ability to verify graduation from an accredited school </li><li>Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute Required </li><li>Cardio Department ONLY: ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety Institute Required </li><li>Valid government or State ID </li></ul>
