<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for analyzing and coordinating all enterprise activities related to stop payment and reissue of all specialized check writing accounts and STAR checking accounts. This position will also process stop payments and reissues of the DOR electronic undeliverable files.</p> <p>In addition, this position will be responsible for analyzing and processing weekly cancel drafts and reissues for all agencies and a separate cancel draft reissue for child support. This position will ensure that checks are not re-issued after the statutory limitation and that all revenues for cancelled checks are recorded timely to the related statutory fund and posted to the general ledger. This position will also be responsible for performing quarterly and annual reconciliations of the cancel draft subsystem and the annual purge to remove checks over six years.</p> <p>For a full list of duties, see the complete position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (07-03) with a salary between $29.50 and $35.00 an hour. In addition, up to $1.00 per hour CPA add-on may be available depending on qualifications. A 12 month probationary period is required. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.</p> <p>Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This position will be expected to work in office at least 2 days per week. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified candidates will have experience in:</p> <ul> <li>Completed a four-year or advanced degree with a major in accounting from an accredited college/university, or commensurate work or professional experience. </li><li>Experience monitoring accounts payable or receivable payments (e.g. processing payments, billing, record keeping, or similar) </li><li>Experience in financial reconciliation of accounts (bank, vendor, customer accounts, processing, auditing, tracking, or similar) </li><li>Experience utilizing accounting software such as PeopleSoft, STAR finance or similar </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
