<p>DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Category Management Support Associate provides essential support to the Category Management team by assisting with data analysis, product maintenance and promotional execution. This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel and communication skills who enjoys working with numbers, products, and processes in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support Category Managers in daily activities related to product assortment, pricing, and vendor relationships. </li><li>Maintain product data with internal systems (e.g., new item setup, pricing updates, discontinued items). </li><li>Prepare and analyze sales, margin, and inventory reports to identify trends and opportunities. </li><li>Assist in planning and executing promotions, seasonal programs, and new product launches. </li><li>Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment on category initiatives. </li><li>Track and report vendor program performance, rebates, and promotional funding. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation for pricing and contracts. </li><li>Participate in product line reviews and assist with presentations or sales materials. </li></ul> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing preferred </li><li>Strong mathematical, problem solving and forecasting skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel </li><li>Strength in teamwork </li><li>Personal Management skills </li><li>Strong verbal and written abilities </li><li>Ability to work effectively under pressure </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Creative skills necessary </li><li>Ability to interact with multiple groups </li></ul> <p>Company Profile:</p> <p>Headquartered in Warren, Michigan, Lipari Foods is a leading independent distributor built around global and specialty foods.
