<p>TITLE:</p> <p>Room Attendant Lead</p> <p>LAST UPDATED:</p> <p>August 11, 2025</p> <p>DIVISION</p> <p>Guest Services</p> <p>DEPARTMENT:</p> <p>Hotel</p> <p>REPORTS TO:</p> <p>Hotel Shift Supervisor</p> <p>FLSA STATUS:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>COMP LEVEL:</p> <p>6</p> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Summary: Supervises and coordinates cleaning crew activities for an assigned shift and/or area of responsibility.</p> <p>The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates, schedules and supervises cleaning activities and special projects. </li><li>Inspects area of responsibility for quality of work performed, proper maintenance, adequacy of supplies and compliance with hotel safety and quality standards. </li><li>Monitors Room Attendants as they clean rooms and park models; delegates extra duties as necessary; ensures quality standards are met. </li><li>Assigns work areas, completes work assignment paperwork and "end of day" clean room reports. </li><li>Runs vacant room reports for hotel and RV park periodically and at the end of the day. </li><li>Trains new room attendants and reinforces quality standards with experienced staff. </li><li>Conducts safety training as required. </li><li>Frequently responds to guest and employee questions and situations as required. </li><li>Organizes and stocks Room Attendant carts periodically throughout the shift; stocks storage rooms with supplies. </li><li>Assists with deep cleaning of rooms, park models and periodic cleaning projects when necessary. </li><li>Performs the duties of a Room Attendant when required. </li><li>Assists in scheduling, rewarding, coaching, counseling and evaluating Room Attendants, Housepersons and Laundry Attendants. </li><li>Will provide support to supervisors and will fulfill Supervisor duties in their absence. </li></ul> <p>Spirit Mountain Standards:</p> <ul> <li>Delivers Spirit Mountain's Spirit of Excellence by consistently modeling attitudes and behaviors in alignment with SMGI's Pride Values, Brand Promise, and Business Vision. </li><li>Learns comprehends and complies with all Company and departmental policies and procedures, MICS, gaming regulations, and Title 31 Regulation requirements. </li><li>Follows all Corporate and departmental safety policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the hiring, training, promoting, assigning, disciplining and discharging of employees are in accordance with Tribal Law, including without limitation, the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). </li><li>Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and in alignment with SMGI's Pride Values, Brand Promise, and Business vision. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>Techniques and methods used in basic housekeeping procedures. </li><li>Safety precautions as they pertain to basic housekeeping procedures. </li><li>Basic computer software and hardware applications. </li><li>MSDS and biohazard chemicals. </li><li>Methods and techniques of guest service. </li></ul> <p>Required Skill in:</p> <ul> <li>Assessing the cleaning skills of others. </li><li>Determining the difference between clean and dirty areas. </li><li>Performing cleaning techniques. </li><li>Operating computer software and hardware applications. </li><li>Communicating both orally and in writing. </li><li>Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent, and two (2) years hotel cleaning work experience, including one (1) year supervisory experience, supervising at least 20 employees or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. </li><li>High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission. </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li><li>Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in an office, RV park, Courtyard and hotel environment with frequent exposure to tobacco smoke. </li><li>Work is subject to frequent standing and walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 75 pounds. </li><li>Work is subject to frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. </li><li>Occasionally exposed to blood and bodily fluids. </li><li>Frequently exposed to hazardous cleaning materials and chemicals. </li><li>Will be required to pass a pre-employment physical. </li></ul> <p>Equipment and Tools Utilized:</p> <ul> <li>Equipment utilized includes personal computer, standard office equipment, telephone, materials, supplies and tools used in cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, office and lobby spaces, audio/video equipment, two-way radio, and carts, vacuums, and other tools necessary to perform cleaning duties. </li></ul>
