<p>Position Overview: As the Floral Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the floral department's product selection, inventory management, vendor coordination, and assisting with merchandising strategies. You will be responsible for successfully executing floral programs and assisting in driving sales growth across retail locations. Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in sourcing and selecting floral products, including but not limited to cut flowers, bouquets, plants, and outdoor garden materials based on customer demands, seasonal trends, and sales data </li><li>Tracking product performance and providing data-driven insights to optimize assortment and pricing strategies </li><li>Assisting in implementing plan-o-grams, display standards, and promotional programs to enhance visual appeal and sales with retail locations </li><li>Assisting with the development of plans to resolve excess waste and shrink throughthe retail system from a procurement standpoint and retail standpoint </li><li>Monitoring inventory levels as well as verifying actual warehouse inventories to prevent stock shortages or overages to ensure timely replenishments; Steel Toes Shoes are required while in the distribution center </li><li>Inspecting on-hand product quality as well as product returns </li><li>Coordinating with vendors for ordering, deliveries, and product availability; receiving and entering orders from high-priority customers </li><li>Generating reports and insights to support decision making, identifying opportunities for growth </li><li>Assisting in analyzing sales trends, inventory turnover & management plans, display plans, production plans, sanitation, and preparation plans </li><li>Maintaining accurate records of product listings, purchase orders, and pricing updates </li><li>Providing general support to the Floral Category Manager, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, following up on tasks, and addressing inquiries </li><li>Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met accordingly </li><li>Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Environment: </li><li>Warehouse Office - approx. 65F - 70F </li><li>Warehouse Perishable approx. 20F - 60F Schedule: </li><li>Monday - Friday </li><li>7:30 AM-4:30 PM </li><li>Flexibility to travel to retail stores - up to 25% of the year - with potential growth to onsite merchandising within assigned retail locations Experience: </li><li>Preferred: Five (5) years of retail or wholesale floral experience or related experience </li><li>Preferred: Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, AS 400, WMS, etc. Skills: </li><li>Physical abilities: Ability to stand, walk,k and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile, etc. May be required to lift up to 30-40lbs.; standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 50% - 75% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights,s including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours daily; working in various temperature-controlled environments; </li><li>Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis </li><li>Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines </li><li>Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player </li><li>Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives </li><li>Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; drive for accountability of safe practices throughout the shift </li></ul>
