Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Operations Staff perform the setup and changeover of the coliseum and convention center on an event-to-event basis in order to ensure complete adherence to the event schedule and requirements. Also, assist with cleaning of the complex to help maintain the cleanliness of the building. Under general supervision, performs work as needed to clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.</p> <p>This role pays an hourly rate $15.00 to $20.00</p> <p>Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.</p> <p>EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.</p> <p>About the Venue</p> <p>The Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center Complex, located in Charleston West Virginia boasts 529,000 sq.ft. including a 13,500 seat arena, 100,000 sq.ft. of meeting space with the largest room of 72,400 sq.ft, 50,000 sq.ft. of exhibit space, a 25,000 sq.ft. ballroom with ample pre-function spaces, 760 seat theater. The Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center hosts a variety of events, including sporting events, world-class entertainment, conventions, meetings, banquets, and other social events.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. </li><li>Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable wall, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment. </li><li>Perform varies duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include, but not limited to, loading/unloading equipment, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies. </li><li>Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing and waxing. </li><li>Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, replacing filters, etc. </li><li>Assist building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair and maintenance of the building. </li><li>Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to supervisor. </li><li>Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years or older at the time of application </li><li>Exhibit willingness to work a flexible schedule consisting of nights and weekends.
