<p>The Independent Living Associate Director is responsible for overseeing Independent Living program services. This position manages program implementation, services, and quality standards; employee performance and productivity; and stakeholder satisfaction. Ensures program activities meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements, program objectives and accreditation standards.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Oversees program services and ensures that they meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements, and accreditation standards. Reviews information related to compliance requirements, ensures procedures are in place to meet the requirements, and develops action plans to ensure compliance. Provides input and feedback into creating and revising policies and procedures, and oversees implementation. </li><li>Works to continually improve the quality of services delivered. Performs quality assurance reviews, develops action plans, and ensures that any deficiencies are corrected. Assists with internal and external investigations as necessary. </li><li>Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with individuals, families, and funders. Oversees program referral process and intake activities. </li><li>Provides input into departmental business plan and annual budget, and manages budget-related activities. Reviews financial reports, monitors revenue and expenses, and makes adjustments as needed to ensure that program operations are within budget. Supports required reporting and funding contingencies tracking. </li><li>Manages the preparation and maintenance of program reports. Reviews and analyzes reports related to program operations, identifies areas for improvement, develops and implements action plans, and ensures completion within established timeframes. </li><li>Hires and develops team members and ensures program has proper resources to support staffing needs. Reviews staffing needs and staffing capacity, and ensures that program needs are met. Oversees new employee training and onboarding activities. </li><li>Manages and oversees employee performance and provides effective coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. Ensures team members understand their roles and are held accountable for their objectives. Promotes employee development in relation to providing quality services and developing employee skills. Ensures employees are in compliance with training and employee documentation requirements. </li><li>Leads management team meetings and individual manager meetings, and ensures that management team is meeting regularly with staff. </li><li>Participates in committees and ad hoc projects as assigned. </li><li>Works as fill-in direct care staff as needed. </li></ul> <p>Position Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of disabilities, medical care, and behavioral supports. Maintains knowledge on current research and innovations in the field, and funder and accreditation requirements. </li><li>Knowledge of self-determination and self-advocacy for individuals with disabilities. </li><li>Participates in departmental and funder trainings, and external training opportunities for ongoing program growth and development. </li><li>Knowledge of fiscal budget monitoring, grant utilization, and related tasks. </li><li>Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines and achieve program results. </li><li>Provides professional communication regarding program services with internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Able to foster positive professional relationships with families, team members, funders, and community members. </li><li>Demonstrates effective leadership and management skills by clearly delegating responsibilities, providing regular performance feedback, building productive teams, developing employee skills, and encouraging employee growth and development. </li><li>Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and computer systems. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field </li><li>Must have 3 years of related experience working with individuals with disabilities or working in a health services organization </li><li>Must have at least 2 years management experience. </li><li>Experience managing and tracking authorizations to service delivery </li><li>Experience working with state agencies preferred. </li></ul>
