<p>Job Title: Highway Construction Inspector</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical experience in highway construction, specifically in concrete and asphalt paving, and hold the necessary certifications to maintain quality and safety standards on site. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct inspections of highway construction projects, ensuring compliance with design plans and specifications. </li><li>Monitor and test materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure they meet required standards. </li><li>Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports. </li><li>Coordinate with construction crews and project managers to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained. </li><li>Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies on-site promptly. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>NICET level II/III certification in Construction or Highway Materials </li><li>ACI Certification with 5 years of experience </li><li>NJSAT certification </li><li>Strong technical knowledge in highway construction, concrete, and asphalt paving </li><li>Proficiency in construction inspection and testing equipment </li><li>Ability to commute around New Jersey </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with NJDOT projects </li><li>Experience in civil engineering or civil construction </li><li>Knowledge of construction management practices </li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Must be able to work all hours during the day, overnight, and in inclement weather. Schedules may change frequently.
