<p>TITLE: Instructional Aide Middle School, Long-Term Substitiute (with the potential to become permanent)</p> <p>DURATION: Immediate to the end of the 2025-2026 school year</p> <p>LOCATION: Dr. Kevin M. Hurley Middle School</p> <p>RATE OF PAY: Salary range of $15.20 to $21.90 per hour</p> <p>The instructional aide assists teachers and/or building administrators in the supervision and instruction of students in the classroom during instructional periods and through the school environment as determined by the principal or designee.</p> <p>Reports to: Building Principal/Assistant Principal</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To be considered for this position, candidates must minimally have the following:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with children and adults </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students, and administrators </li><li>One of the following: </li><li>A Bachelor's Degree </li><li>An Associate's Degree </li><li>A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities & Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Supports students in classroom learning. </li><li>Under the supervision of a certified teacher, prepare for classroom activities. </li><li>Assist in preparing class displays/bulletin boards and caring for equipment. </li><li>Assist in duties relating to the supervision of the playground, study hall, cafeteria, bus loading, etc. </li><li>Participate in in-service training programs when appropriate. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned by the building principal. </li></ul> <p>Shift type: Full-time</p> <p>Salary Code: Hourly</p>
