<p>Work From Home</p> <p>Work From Home Work From Home, Indiana 46544</p> <p>The Manager Cost Reporting reviews and prepares third-party cost reports and other associated filings, calculates third-party cost reserves on a monthly and annual basis for all the System facilities, and provides ongoing updates, modeling, and recommendations to the Administrative Director Governmental and Cost Reimbursement. This position has in-depth knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations, to prepare the necessary reports for the organization. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.</p> <p>WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare, analyze, and review Franciscan Alliance's annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for accuracy, and makes recommendations to optimize Franciscan Alliance's reimbursement under the Medicare/Medicaid program regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and review State Medicaid disproportionate shortfall filings, third party cost reports and recovery audit contract reserves.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor changes in DRG reimbursement; rates, weightings, various indexes, cost outliers, and capital and updates DRG profiles, to ensure compliance with the federal register.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and prepare quarterly social accountability calculations, third-party analysis for auditors and monthly account analysis, to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop system-wide cost reports for socialization with Franciscan Alliance executive leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct multi-year forecasts of government reimbursement programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in internal and external audit activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and set direction with other functions for completing the Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting filings.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and maintain all schedules and analysis supporting cost reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor regulatory changes and updates; stays updated with Medicare and Medicaid regulations affecting cost reporting activities and reimbursements; seeks ways to optimize/streamline reimbursement processes and reporting; files and follows up on appeal opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure cost reports are prepared, in accordance with federal and state regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor projects to ensure completion and within budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage performance and activity of the team.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the internal and external audit process</p> </li><li> <p>Make hiring decisions for direct reports and performs people management activities, such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, implement, and manage policies and budget, ensuring cost control and expenses are in alignment with the budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise direct reports, perform people management activities, and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business or related field - Required</p> </li><li> <p>Master's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business or related - Preferred</p> </li><li> <p>5 years Healthcare reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, and cost reporting - Required</p> </li><li> <p>Healthcare - Required</p> </li></ul> <p>TRAVEL IS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Never or Rarely</p> <p>JOB RANGE:</p> <p>Manager Cost Reporting $96731.58-$133005.92</p> <p>INCENTIVE:</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p> <p>It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.</p> <p>Franciscan Alliance reserves a Right of Conscience objection in the event local, state or Federal ordinances that violate its values and the free exercise of its religious rights.</p> <p>Franciscan Alliance is committed to equal employment opportunity.</p> <p>Franciscan provides eligible employees with comprehensive benefit offerings.
