<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>Organization's Summary Statement:</p> <p>The School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is seeking a full-time, nonexempt, contractual Administrative Assistant I to support student experience initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Student Experience and plays a key role in coordinating student events, supporting student organizations, and facilitating communication between faculty, administrators, students, and external partners.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate key student events, including white coat ceremonies, hooding </li></ul> <p>ceremonies, open houses, and wellness programs.</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a liaison between faculty, administrators, students, and external </li></ul> <p>partners.</p> <ul> <li>Support student organizations and connect students with university </li></ul> <p>resources. Consolidate activities across departments to eliminate</p> <p>inefficiencies and duplication of efforts.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure smooth execution of student-focused initiatives, maintaining high </li></ul> <p>standards of quality.</p> <ul> <li>Provide timely support and communication to address student and staff </li></ul> <p>needs.</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Director in managing and executing student experience </li></ul> <p>strategies.</p> <ul> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Two year's experience providing administrative support. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Organizational Skills: Managing multiple events such as white coat </li></ul> <p>ceremonies, hooding ceremonies, and open houses efficiently.</p> <ul> <li>Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with faculty, </li></ul> <p>students, administrators, and external partners.</p> <ul> <li>Event Coordination: Planning and executing events, ensuring smooth </li></ul> <p>logistics and high-quality experiences.</p> <ul> <li>Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of events and student initiatives are </li></ul> <p>handled with precision. Interpersonal Skills: Building relationships with</p> <p>diverse groups, including students, staff, and external collaborators.</p> <ul> <li>Problem-Solving Skills: Addressing and resolving challenges related to </li></ul> <p>event management and student activities.</p> <ul> <li>Time Management: Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain </li></ul> <p>efficiency.</p> <ul> <li>Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office productivity software and </li></ul> <p>event management tools.</p> <ul> <li>Team Collaboration: Working with various departments to consolidate and </li></ul> <p>streamline activities.</p> <ul> <li>Adaptability: Responding to dynamic needs in a fast paced academic </li></ul> <p>environment.</p> <p>Physical Demands: May require extended periods of standing, bending, sitting at desk. May require lifting up to 25 lbs. Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and internally. Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.</p> <p>Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in a related field. </li><li>Experience in event planning, administrative support, or student </li></ul> <p>engagement.
