<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <p>Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p> <ul> <li>Assists in scheduling, distributing, monitoring, and following-up all daily work assignments and ensures that the necessary resources are available to ensure that customers are serviced in compliance with Company standards and agreements </li><li>Performs daily tasks related to routing of Material to various customer and Company locations throughout the service area while simultaneously maintaining compliance with both DOT rules and regulations and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction </li><li>Work directly with material suppliers to manage Contractor hired to haul material. </li><li>Understand carrier/customer requirements to satisfy customer delivery specifications </li><li>Responsible for overseeing outside Contract Haulers when needed </li><li>Update management on service issues and freight cost variations and to ensure service meets expectations </li><li>Coordinates equipment repairs with truck shop personnel. </li><li>Maintains/monitors reports and data entry related areas to ensure performance is meeting or exceeding established Company expectations. </li><li>Keeps management advised of all performance related issues and recommends solutions </li><li>Audit freight invoices for accuracy and monitor accessorial charges </li><li>Comply with DOT rules and guidelines as they relate to 3rd party carriers </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in a Transportation or Logistics </li><li>Bachelor's Degreed preferred </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to utilize ERP systems and proficient use of Microsoft Office </li><li>Able to deal professionally with internal and external customers </li><li>Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize. </li><li>Ability to work evenings and weekends at times when needed. </li><li>Must be flexible and able to excel in a stressful environment </li></ul> <p>The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
