<p>Career Tech Engineering Teacher</p> <p>Stebbins High School</p> <p>Start Date: August 2025</p> <p>Benefits Available: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement</p> <p>MUST HOLD PROPER LICENSURE PER THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION</p> <p>TEACHER LICENSURE: The successful candidate must possess the willingness to enroll and satisfactorily complete the Ohio's Career Technical Licensure program offered by Bowling Green State University. This program requires 24 credits in career teacher preparation. Or Modified Licensure Pathway 9 Credit Hours of Specific University coursework and 45-hour Professional Development program. The successful candidate will begin with a two-year provisional teaching license.</p> <p>PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This Career Technical Education program is designed to prepare students for careers in the engineering field and for study at the post-secondary level. Students will learn the basics of blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, drafting, and CADD. The program also has a strong academic component provided through instruction in correlated math and physics. Upon completion of the secondary portion of the program, students are ready to select from several engineering majors at the post-secondary level.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Knowledge of and work experience in the engineering industry.</p> <p>Knowledge of the skills needed for entry-level engineering technologies positions.</p> <p>Knowledge of the job market for engineering workers.</p> <p>A desire to work with young people.</p> <p>Demonstrated willingness to maintain up-to-date skills through continuous training.</p> <p>Education - Minimum of high school diploma. Preferred - Associate Degree or higher in related field.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Develop daily educational objectives and career field-related experiences.</p> <p>Supervise and manage all lab activities.</p> <p>Participate in school-wide programs and activities.</p> <p>Communicate with parents/guardians of assigned students.</p> <p>Maintain records regarding student progress.</p> <p>Provide a variety of instructional experiences for all students.</p> <p>Facilitate relationships with industry partners and Sinclair Community College.</p> <p>Mad River Local Schools is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all Federal and Ohio State laws, regulations, and executive orders regarding non-discrimination.
