<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Food Service</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>6/9/2022</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District Wide</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>TBD</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>General Cafe Worker Substitute</p> <p>District Wide</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The General Worker takes direction from the Cook Manager to assist with all aspects of food preparation, service and kitchen sanitation.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Able to complete all paperwork required of the position including but not limited to cash reports, production records and temperature records. This qualification must be met within the thirty-day probationary period. </li><li>Must possess a positive attitude and good customer relation skills. </li><li>No previous experience required. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Work Hazards:</p> <p>Many hazards result from working in a kitchen. We have a strong physical awareness program that must be understood and incorporated into your daily routine. Accidents can be avoided; you are responsible for your own safe work habits as well as recognizing hazards that may cause harm to others.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Responsibilities of the General Worker include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with all aspects of the food service process using good physical safety and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) procedures. Including but not limited to the following tasks. </li><li>Food Preparation </li><li>Food Service / Cashiering </li><li>Kitchen Sanitation / Clean-up </li><li>Stock and Restocking </li><li>Provide the highest quality of service to the customers at all times. </li><li>Work as a team member to complete all duties in a timely and efficient manner. </li><li>Adhere to guidelines and requirements set forth by the National School Lunch Program, the National School Breakfast Program and the State of Connecticut. </li><li>Participate in training sessions related to job description. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cook Manager and / or Food Service Director. </li><li>Complete all duties in full compliance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Naugatuck Public Schools Food Service Program, Board of Education and school Principal. </li></ul>
