<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As a Licensing Associate Intern, you will assist in providing financial and analytical research and support to the examination functions of the Department, as well as licensing support functions for various financial services industries regulated by the Department. In addition, this position will review and assess applications filed and assist with the administrative functions of the Department, including responding to inquiries from consumers. For example, some of these duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Developing and analyzing monitoring reports to assess regulatory compliance. </li><li>Reviewing and tracking required filings by licensees. </li><li>Drafting professional correspondence and regulatory reports. </li><li>Reviewing online and paper/electronic applications received for completeness, appropriate fees, and signatures as required. </li><li>Utilizing internal systems to independently respond to phone calls, emails, and consumer complaints in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. </li><li>Providing a variety of programmatic and confidential support for Division staff. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (02-11) with a salary of $18.50 - $20 per hour, depending on experience.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check.</p> <p>This state agency does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and limited to 1,039 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year).</p> <p>Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions.</p> <p>Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified candidates must detail their training or experience in all of the following areas in order to be considered:</p> <ul> <li>Reviewing financial statements (including balance sheets, income statements, and/or statements of cash flows.) </li><li>Reviewing, interpreting and/or applying county, state or federal rules and/or regulations. </li><li>Experience providing administrative support in an office environment, (such as maintaining files and records, responding to customer phone and email inquiries using effective communication skills, and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite products and/or other database systems.) </li></ul> <p>In addition to the minimal qualifications, well qualified candidates will also detail having experience with one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Analyzing financial statements to assess financial condition. </li><li>Reviewing/processing application materials for licensure (e.g. reviewing, approving, denying, etc.) </li><li>Working in a financial institution, financial services industry, or financial regulatory agency. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
