<p>Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners, a subsidiary of Ergon Inc., is looking for a Fleet Asset Manager at our Tampa Causeway location. The Fleet Asset Manager provides a vital role in company facilities with transportation assets by providing leadership to facility service technicians, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and ensuring fleet assets are maintained at the highest level of safety and performance.</p> <p>Interfaces:</p> <p>This role will report to the Regional Fleet Manager and have responsibility for supervising service technicians assigned to the facility. This individual will interface regularly with employees and managers within the company, as well as external vendors, suppliers and agency representatives.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Talent Management</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Professional development of Mechanics / Service Technicians</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct annual formal and routine personal performance evaluations for direct reports</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure applicable focus on serving customer needs and meeting goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance to DOT regulations and Ergon corporate policies for all drivers.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for training compliance within their regions, for both new hires and existing employees.</p> </li></ul> <p>Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Equally distribute their time up to 20% in the field with their assets, teams, 5% in industry groups and 5% with their peers. </li><li>Provide regular feedback to management to develop best in class standards for performance. </li><li>Will have a clear connection and understanding relative supporting team initiatives. </li><li>Understand the markets in the regions they operate and devise plans to ensure they provide the most professional, safe, courteous assets and services to our customers. </li><li>Ensure employees are fully licensed and qualified for any equipment they are operating </li><li>Ensure that a courteous and respectful work environment is always maintained. </li></ul> <p>Team Member</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop relationships with external fleet, trucking and logistics industry leaders.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain strong internal relationships within Fleet & Dispatch Operations teams, as well as support staff and customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with Supply, Sales, Marketing, Logistics and other internal groups to achieve best in class performance for;</p> </li><li> <p>Safety and Environmental</p> </li><li> <p>Asset availability</p> </li><li> <p>Customer service.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for carrying out defined goals and strategies for the Transportation Division and/or establishing and aligning their teams' goals to the same.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure their teams are reviewing and integrating the "Daily Load Schedule", for next day shipping, according to time, location and product orders along with other Terminal's or Managers with any third-party haulers for product movement. (supply & distribution)</p> </li></ul> <p>Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Best in class safety performance. </li><li>Collaborate with Fleet & Trucking groups to determine Best Practices and Metrics/KPI's for industry. </li><li>Drivers and fleet that consistently rates high with customers (internal and external). </li></ul> <p>Compliance / Health, Safety & Security (HSS)</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Accountable for their region's oversight and management of any regulatory compliance mandates, corporate policies or guidance. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and carrying out all Safety goals and objectives. (2025 LSR) </li><li>Responsible for trucking assets compliance, inspections, maintenance and repairs within their region(s). </li><li>Ensure all assigned personnel maintain compliance with all mandates. </li><li>Ensure all assets at their terminal are safe, compliant and legal for use in their work environments. </li></ul> <p>Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Successfully accomplish any established goals and/or strategies </li><li>Responsible for completing routine audits within their regions. </li><li>Achieve 0 - moving violations, OOS equipment and/or driver Violations. </li></ul> <p>Operations / Asset Mgmt.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Utilize Ergon's Asset management systems, i.e. MTS, Trimble, Fleet locate/GPS, etc. for all areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for aligning their teams and supporting uniform "standards" for all aspects of:</p> </li><li> <p>Equipment design</p> </li><li> <p>Routine maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Major repairs or rebuilds.</p> </li><li> <p>Replacement planning</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for ensuring all loaned, rented or leased assets have current agreements/contracts and insurance in place for assets within their regions (assigned or not)</p> </li><li> <p>Support development of capital & Maintenance planning, budgeting, forecasting for their sites and work with other regional or management personnel as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and controls TCO at the optimum levels (efficient/effective/sustainable)</p> </li><li> <p>Identification and reductions within major operating expenses.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the establishment of key goals / metrics for their region.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for optimizing asset/driver routes to achieve operational efficiencies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Assets maintained according to PM schedules. </li><li>100% success rate in supporting internal and external customers. </li><li>Successfully accomplish cost reduction initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Overseas Containers</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Track all overseas containers thru company tracking system. </li><li>Ensure all containers have updated inspections for sailing. (CSC & Hydro) </li><li>Work with vendor to complete inspections on overseas containers as needed. </li><li>Ensure fabrication has completed all repairs needed of equipment on time. </li></ul> <p>Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Successfully tracking and accounting for all overseas containers. </li><li>Zero citations or fines for missing or late inspections. </li><li>All containers repaired and in working order within time guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business or related </li><li>3-5 years experience in fleet asset management </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Solid computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office applications </li><li>Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, as well as physical ability to maintain a consistent presence in the truck shop with service technicians. </li><li>Able to work inside or outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions as needed. </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving records. </li><li>Must possess or be able to obtain Transport Worker Identification Card (TWIC), where applicable </li><li>Able to travel on company business as needed; Anticipated travel is 10%. </li></ul> <p>Ergon is an equal opportunity employer</p>
