<p>SCHEDULE: 8 Hours - (6:45 am to 2:45 pm)</p> <p>Full year position (258 days per year)</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to work with students, staff, public and has a positive outlook toward the employer and co-workers; </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; </li><li>Proven experience in inventory control, ordering of materials/supplies, account billing, and payroll processing, </li><li>Previous experience working with vendors, </li><li>Demonstrated ability to multi-task while completing time-sensitive projects, </li><li>Versed in Excel spreadsheets and database management; </li><li>Internal applicants must have passed Clerical Skills Proficiency & Skyward exams and have been actively using skills in their present position, </li><li>External applicants must pass Clerical Skills Proficiency & Skyward exams within the probationary period. </li><li>Successful interview with Directors of Buildings and Grounds. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: (The listed responsibilities are examples of some of the tasks that will be required.)</p> <ul> <li>Handles communications, maintain reports, personnel records, expenditures, and payroll; </li><li>Will be responsible for using basic office machines and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Google Suites; </li><li>Communicates with maintenance and school personnel during inclement weather; </li><li>Responsible for accepting and processing applications for open custodial/maintenance positions; </li><li>In the absence of the Director will handle routine office matters </li><li>As required, assists in completing reports and maintenance-related documents </li><li>Management of Merrillville Community School Corporation Building Rental Forms, including calculation of charges and billing; </li><li>Will document seasonal utility management usage; </li><li>Will prepare and post custodial positions, testing, and background checks for potential employees; </li><li>Responsible for scheduling of in-service training; </li><li>Responsible for all other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds; </li><li>Organize and file work orders for repairs to individual buildings; </li><li>Assigning work to maintenance people. </li><li>Maintain and update building physical property records of inventory and service equipment; </li><li>The location and purchase of repair parts for all building equipment owned by the school; </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors of Buildings and Grounds. </li></ul> <p>Medical/dental/vision insurance, short term life insurance policy, retirement plan, paid time off.</p>
