<p>Elevate Your Career as an Evening Supervisor of Environmental Services at UPMC Presbyterian!</p> <p>Are you a natural leader with a passion for maintaining pristine environments? We are seeking a dedicated Evening Supervisor to join our team at UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore. In this role, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of our Lead Persons, Floor & Project Technicians, and Housekeepers to ensure our premises are spotless and well-maintained.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Discharges in area of responsibility are completed within one hour from the time it is assigned. </li><li>Attend all mandatory departmental and hospital in-services. </li><li>Daily contact with head nurses and/or unit clerks to discuss opportunities. </li><li>Provide all legitimate requests within facility are met immediately, giving the department a high reputation for service. </li><li>Present department in a positive manner to patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel. </li><li>Submit work orders for all applicable maintenance repairs in the area of responsibility. </li><li>Check assigned areas regularly to ensure personnel are performing work and following their work schedule. React appropriately to noted observations and reinforce behavior through either praise or corrective action. </li><li>Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available. </li><li>Complete supervisor's Development Program. </li><li>Prepare sign-in sheets at least one week in advance. Start the shift on time and arranges to always have adequate coverage by using personnel effectively. </li><li>Ensure that all chemicals and solutions are in properly always labeled containers. </li><li>Oversee Lead Housekeepers, Housekeepers, and Floor and Project Technicians. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure as difficult situations arises. </li><li>Prepare administrative and employee documentation, monitor employee records and performance, meeting establish deadlines or respond in an efficient and timely manner. </li><li>Make recommendations for, and assist with, corrective action under guidance or Operations Manager. </li><li>Approve PTO assigned staff within departmental guidelines. </li><li>Perform assigned duties in case of internal and external disasters, and fires/drills. </li><li>Act as a liaison between all shifts with no noted communication problems. </li><li>Complete a minimum of 5 inspections daily utilizing Pocket PC Technology. </li><li>Equipment is always kept clean, and in good running order. </li><li>Inspect 10% of all discharges when assigned to patient areas. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma/GED required </li><li>3 years of relevant experience required </li><li>1 year of relevant leadership experience required </li><li>Knowledge and familiarity with chemical use and dilution rates. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge to include familiarity with MS Office. </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
