<p>Summary:</p> <p>To greet patients, verify demographic and insurance information collect copays and print fee tickets and SOF forms.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a high school graduate. </li><li>Must have general computer knowledge. </li><li>Must have basic typing skills. </li><li>Must have good health as demonstrated by infrequent absenteeism. </li><li>Must have ability to communicate well with a variety of clients in mature, courteous, and professional manner. </li><li>Must be able to function independently and accurately with frequent interruptions. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greets consumers in a pleasant professional manner. </li><li>Verifies demographic, referring physician and insurance information over the telephone or in person. </li><li>Correctly identifies insurances that need precertification or authorization and ensure that it is obtained. </li><li>Must collect copays from patients. (See policy on money handling.) </li><li>Must verify correct amount of cash in drawer upon opening and close out cash drawer in evening. </li><li>Must correctly schedule tests at appropriate site. </li><li>Must notify appropriate staff when supplies are low for recording purposes.
