<p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networking or similar required CCNA/CWNA certification required , CCNP/SIP/VOIP certifications preferred Expert knowledge of network architecture and TCP/IP Protocol Minimum of three years experience as network administrator required Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communications skills Demonstrated experience in the deployment of enterprise level, complex networks Ability to use CLI to program and configure various platforms including but not limited to : Sonicwall, Juniper, Extreme, Aerohive, Cisco</p> <p>Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to the Director of Technology Services</p> <p>General Responsibilities: Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks including firewalls. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Works under general supervision. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <p>Oversees LAN/WAN , Wireless, Broadband Network environment Oversees and completes cybersecurity initiatives as required. Assists Director of Technology Services with assessing Network Technical needs of the school / town network system. Works closely with the Server Administrator to provide server related network support in WPA2, LDAP, Cloud resources Including the ability to troubleshoot using SNMP, SYSLOG, Wireshark Continually expands and increases knowledge of Networking and all interrelated hardware/software to meet the changing demands of the position. Familiar with standard concepts, best practices, and procedures Backs up and restores network configurations regularly Works with the Director and Server Administrator to develop and initiates disaster recovery and incident response plans to insure safeguard of information Documents and submits monthly problem resolution logs Reviews and evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations for enhancements as needed Sets up and maintains network address distribution and documentation Completes necessary paperwork associated with work orders Performs other related duties as assigned by Director of Technology Services</p> <p>Evaluation: Annually by the Director of Technology Services . Evaluation process to include:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Completion of self assessment by the Network Administrator utilizing job description as a base. Director of Technology Services completes the same.</p> </li><li> <p>Network Administrator and Director of Technology Services meet and discuss their assessments.</p> </li></ol> <p>Director of Technology Services prepares a written performance review and attaches the self Assessment and Director's assessment to the overall performance review.</p> <p>Terms of Employment: Twelve months per year.</p>
