All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, ancestry, color, disability, familial status, gender or gender identity, genetic information, military service, national origin, pregnancy and related conditions, race, religion, sex, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Develops and implements a comprehensive plan for disability services and in and out of classroom accommodations for students with disabilities </li><li>Meets with prospective and current students and their families, as needed, and maintains records accordingly </li><li>Provides disability services orientations to students, parents and faculty </li><li>Educates faculty on best practices they can use while teaching students with disabilities including researching and recommending assistive technology </li><li>Advises on personal and academic issues for students with disabilities </li><li>Coordinates special workshops, instructional programs and placement testing, as necessary </li><li>Manages compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act to consistently meet the needs of students </li><li>Participates with various departmental or campus committees on disability related issues </li><li>Proctors testing sessions, as necessary </li><li>Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a master's degree </li><li>Moderate amount of experience with advising students with disabilities or other related experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in special education, counseling or a related field of study </li></ul> <p>Please Note:</p> <p>Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.</p> <p>Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until job posting is closed.</p>
