<p>About the Organization:</p> <p>Founded in 2000 by Carl C. Icahn's Foundation for a Greater Opportunity, the first Icahn Charter School (Icahn Charter School 1) opened its doors in 2001. Over the years the school and its students experienced extraordinary academic achievement leading to our expansion within the school and a decision to scale into a network of schools.
